The original deal with Live Nation started in 2008 to the tune of $150 million, and the contract is up as of next year. Although Jay-Z and Live Nation have enjoyed a profitable contract for the better part of a decade, Live Nation won’t be extending the contract as they no longer deal in recorded music, however Live Nation may look to extend it’s touring deal with Jay-Z for many years.
